Setoyaki is a generic name for ceramic produced in Seto City of Aichi Prefecture, and near it. A representative Japanese noble with a thousand years of history and tradition. It is also known as the source of Rokuko kilns along with Tokonama, Shigaraku, Echizen, Tamba, and Bizen. Ash glaze is a glaze made from a blend of lime, straw ash, feldspar, etc. The texture of each piece is different depending on the conditions of the kiln and flame. Great for entertaining and gift giving.
