Mudtools Flat Shredder – Blue – Clay Rasp Tool for Pottery & Ceramic Shaping – Smooths, Shapes & Refines Clay Surfaces

The Mudtools Flat Shredder is a staple for ceramic artists who want clean shaping and controlled surface refinement. Its stainless-steel shredding surface removes material quickly while still preserving the form, letting you refine shape, thin walls, transition curves, and correct proportions without tearing or gouging the clay. The flexible body naturally follows the curve of your work, making it just as useful on bowls and vases as on sculptural forms. Use it on leather-hard clay to remove weight, define silhouettes, or prepare the surface for further trimming, smoothing, or burnishing. Available in Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow, with no difference in performance. The color you choose is simply the one that makes you happiest in the studio.

• Designed for Smooth Shaping: The Mudtools Flat Shredder removes clay efficiently and evenly, making it ideal for refining shapes, correcting proportions, and smoothing surfaces on wheel-thrown or hand-built work.
• Durable Stainless-Steel Teeth: The rasp pattern cuts purposefully and cleanly without clogging. Removes material fast but with enough sensitivity to maintain control and surface quality.
• Flexible and Comfortable to Hold: The body flexes naturally to your clay form, allowing for continuous contact and smooth shaping across curves, walls, and larger form transitions.
• Color Only Indicates Aesthetic Preference: Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Flat Shredders all perform the same. Choose your favorite color or select multiple to stay organized in the studio.
• Made for Daily Studio Use: Trusted by professional potters worldwide. Built to last, withstands heavy use, and rinses clean for repeated shaping and surface refinement.
